The Lovely Sayoko Ohkimoto,
I had the Pleasure of meeting Miss Sayoko Ohkimoto for the first time in the summer of 2009. We Always cross paths at different Venues in the city. I don’t know what struck me first about this mysterious asian girl, but I do know that she can drink me under the table on any given weekend! Mind you that I can probably hold my liquor as well as a 17 year old Female. Sayoko or Sayo (sigh-yo) as her friends call her, graciously agreed to have a one and one interview with me. “who wouldn’t right!”
It was a Late night coffee date at Starbucks where I got to ask Sayoko a few questions I scribbled down on a spare piece of paper, I had laying in the car.
Jtran –So First question, Where are you From?
Sayo – Well I born 1987 in Kobe, Japan
Jtran– What brought you across the Pacific to Canada?
Sayo– When I was 16 I played tennis at a competitive level. I traveled to Florida to get better coaching, But an injury happened and that was that. I came back to Canada in 2007 to further my English skills. I originally wanted to move to Vancouver,
but then thought to myself that there are way too many Asians over there lol, So Victoria it was!
Jtran- So are you taking anything else in school other than English?
Sayo– I’m currently majoring in Psychology, but deep down I would love to learn more about architecture. There aren’t any schools that offer a good program in Victoria though.
Jtran– So whats your largest piece of ink?
Sayo– Well its still a work in progress, but it would have to be my newest one on my back. its a chrysanthemum flower that blooms into a tiger, Its representing that My Family is watching my back no matter where they are.
Jtran– So what type of guys are you into?
Sayo– Hmmm, They must have a good Personality, Clean-Cut, Dress nice, and should take care of themselves.
Ok guys, you have the goods on Sayo, So if your a good looking, clean cut, make a mean Oyster dish, and drive a Lexus LFA. your IN !
special thanks to my friend Sayoko for Her Time.
Jtran
